The Biggest Threat To Your Radiance

The people you surround yourself with and the environments you put yourself in will affect your emotional state and the beliefs in your mind if you aren’t aware of this. Depending on your surroundings, you can start to believe things about yourself that you don’t genuinely believe, and those beliefs will lower your radiance. Remember, your radiance is all tied to how you view yourself!

For example, most people post photos on Instagram to gain some form of validation because they don’t feel special. Since emotions are the most contagious thing, the strongest emotion in the room wins. So if somebody on Instagram truly believes they’re not special and needs validation to feel that way, and that’s the strongest emotion on the app, you can start to feel and believe that too.

This week, start to pay attention to how you feel after leaving certain environments. Whether it’s an app, a room, an article you read, or something you watched, start to be aware of, “Did I leave this situation feeling better or worse? Did an emotion or belief get louder after I left this environment? Am I starting to feel something I wasn’t feeling before? Am I starting to believe something I didn’t before?”
